At Haihong (Jiangsu) Steel International Trading Co., Ltd., we are committed to delivering steel products that meet the highest standards of durability, precision, and performance. Our warranty and return policy reflects that commitment, providing buyers with clear procedures and fair resolutions in the unlikely event of any product issue.
Product Warranty
We provide a limited product warranty on all steel coils, roofing sheets, and related items as described in the signed contract or Proforma Invoice.
Coverage Includes:

Compliance with specified material grade and mechanical properties

Consistency in coating specifications (zinc, aluminum, or color coatings)
-
Accuracy in dimensions and tolerances
-
Free from manufacturing defects or damage due to improper fabrication

Performance of coating within warranty terms
Warranty Period:

12 months from the date of shipment for general manufacturing defects
-
5 to 15 years coating performance warranty, depending on product type and environmental exposure, as agreed in writing
Return & Replacement Conditions
We accept returns, replacements, or issue credit notes in the following situations:
1. Manufacturing Defects
Products that deviate from the specifications outlined in the sales contract or fail to meet required tolerances or coating quality.
2. Incorrect Specifications Delivered
If items delivered are not in accordance with the approved contract or Proforma Invoice (e.g., wrong color, grade, thickness, or coating).
3. Damage in Transit
If products are visibly damaged upon arrival under CIF, CFR, or DDP terms where shipping was managed by us. Buyer must inspect goods immediately upon receipt and notify us within 48 hours.
4. Documented Third-Party Rejection
If the product fails a pre-agreed inspection conducted by third-party agencies such as SGS, BV, or Intertek either at origin or destination.
Return Procedure
Step 1: Report the Issue
Notify us via info@haihonggt.com within 5 calendar days of receiving the goods. Include the following:

Order or invoice number

Detailed description of the issue

Clear photographic or video evidence

Third-party inspection report (if applicable)
Step 2: Internal Review
Our Quality Control department will review your claim and respond within 3 working days. Further clarification or samples may be requested.
Step 3: Resolution
Depending on the findings, we will offer one of the following solutions:

Full or partial product replacement

Credit note for future orders

Partial or full refund

Technical guidance or compensation if damage is minor
Step 4: Return Logistics
If a physical return is required:

For issues under our responsibility, we will arrange and cover return shipping

For buyer-side mistakes (wrong order submitted, handling error), buyer bears cost of return and any restocking fees
Exclusions from Warranty

Natural wear or corrosion resulting from improper storage or exposure

Damage caused during unloading or handling not conducted by us or our agents

Incorrect usage or modification of materials after delivery

Minor aesthetic deviations within internationally accepted tolerances

Issues arising due to customs clearance delays or force majeure events
Legal & Documentation Notes
All warranty claims must be made within the applicable warranty period and must be supported by clear documentation. Any third-party inspection used as evidence must be recognized and authorized by both parties prior to shipment.
